Outpouring Hearts and Minds through literacy and English Proficiency

“Outpouring Hearts and Minds through Literacy and English Proficiency”

Language is central to cultural in identity. Language enhances self-esteem and pride which promotes effective social adjustment. Language expresses the world view of its speaker, the uniqueness of a culture in terms of food, housing, clothing. Language is the principle means by which culture is brought together, shared and transmitted to successive generations.

Our language embodies a value system about how we live and relate to each other. It gives a name to relationships among kin, to roles and responsibilities among family members, to ties with broader groups. There are no English words for these relationships because, in general, social and family lives are different from ours. If our language is destroyed, these relationships break down and will inevitably destroy other aspects of our way of life and culture, especially those that describe man’s connection with nature, the Great Spirit and the order of things. Without our language, we will cease to exist as a unique people.

Equal Right, Equal Oppurtunities

Equal Right, Equal Opportunities

Equal right, equal opportunity. It means every people have the same right and opportunity. No one of us is more powerful than the other.

Now, in our generation. If you are rich, you have more right and opportunities and it’s so unfair to us poor. So in this equal right, equal opportunity even the poor people have given a chance to find their work, to have their right and to have an opportunity for them to have a better life.

In this equal right, equal opportunity. We, the poor people is very thankful, because we are now experiencing having our right and opportunity equally.

My teacher my hero

“My teacher my hero”

When we heard the word “teacher” the first word that we can describe to them is that they are our second parents. What else can we think of when teachers are mentioned? Their understanding, hardships, advices and care for us students. And of course, lectures, new lessons, quizzes and assignments! Those memories when they came about to tell stories and jokes with us students. Their “sermons” to us during times when we were disobedient, or lazy to pass our assignments. It’s their continuous patience and hard works for us that make them our hero.

What could be done in a school without our teachers? There would be no other course that the students will take. Having our teachers we were able to learn and understand things easier and quicker. Because of their teachings a lot of people have reached and accomplished their goals in life.

Teachers don't only teach lessons to us but they are also sources of moral teachings. Inside and outside the campus, our teachers are our models. Teachers are treasures in our society.

Our second parents, our teachers have helped a lot in the contribution of our success. They will forever be a treasure. This teacher’s day was a good way of expressing gratitude to our beloved teachers whom are the reason why we have accomplished most of what we have accomplished until the present. However, we should not only express our warmest thanks to our teachers during the 5th day of the month of October but it should always be done. We must thank them all the time because of their effort and time to teach us. Thank you teachers! We love you!

My Greatest Hero

She’s the brightest star!!

We all know that every one of us have their own greatest hero. The one they considered as the best or as an inspiration.
When I heard the word “greatest hero” the first person that came from is my mother. Without her I will not be here. I admit I have many mistakes or doubts that I did to her but still she never feel tired to tell is how much she loves us.
As time goes by, everything changes, she became tired understanding my father and because of that she leaves us. Even though she leaves us, I saw how she suffered just to make our family complete and happy. When she leaves us. I feel hatred to her but when she explains everything, the hatred that I feel change into love.

I thought to myself that this problems we are suffering now is one way to make our family stronger.  Instead of hating my mother, I must love her, idolize her and make her as my inspiration. I love her more than anything in this world and she will always be my greatest hero whatever happens because she is the star who brightens me when darkness surrounds me.

Reflection during the first quarter

Education is most important among all of us. Education plays a very important role in your life. For living a luxurious life or for living a better life, you should be educated. Education is that which transforms a person to live a better life and even in a social well-being. Education is the one that doing something constructive in our near future. It helps a person to show their best by their mind and spirit. It gives you a lot of knowledge in whatever aspects. Education plays a vital role in your success in the personal growth. The more you have knowledge the more you grow.
During my 1st quarter in ICT I didn't exert a lots of effort so it cause a low grade for me, but now u know how important education is. So, I must study well to have a higher grade.

Now it is second grading so I must move on and I must be more focus on my study. I am very thankful because of ICT I am capable to know how to post and this can help me to my near future.

Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan

Kalamidad Paghandaan Gutom at Malnutrisyon agapan

“Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan” is the theme for this year’s Nutrition Month Celebration. This can help the people to prevent them from malnutrition. Poverty is one of the reasons why we experienced health problems. So what must we do to prevent it?

During the Nutrition Month Celebration there are some activities that we are doing to prevent health problems. Fruits and Vegetable that are good in our body, enough rest, daily exercise and clean body, this things must be done continuously and this were the things that our health experts were campaigning for us to take good care of our health.

We don’t need lots of money to become healthy as long as we eat healthy foods. We must be resourceful in life, by simply planting vegetables in our backgrounds we can contribute lots of good things in our economy, in order for us to buy foods with cheap cost value.

Anything that is much and less specially in eating nutritious foods can cause malnutrition .So let’s help one another to prevent this kind of health problem.

Wika ng Pagkakaisa

Wika ng pagkakaisa

Ang paggamit ng ating wika ay isang paraan upang tayo ay magkaisa. Kaya dapat natin itong gamitin, mahalin at pagyamanin.

State of the Nation Address (Reaction)

State of the Nation Address (Reaction)

President Benigno Aquino III successfully delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA). Lawmakers and guests at Batasan Pambansa gave him at least 85 rounds of applause for his 1.5hrs speech.
The SONA 2014 highlights the achievements of the government on education, social services, economy, improvement, infrastructure, calamity efforts, jobs, rehabilitation after typhoons and earthquake, modernization of AFP, security, ARMM Bangsamoro and livelihood.

Under the controversial DAP; PNoy said that around P1.6 billion funds were given to Training-for-Work Scholarship Program of TESDA. A total of 223,615 beneficiaries have graduated with an equivalent of 146,731 graduates currently working.
Meanwhile, Aquino did not mention the issue on the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) with many of the politicians is involved.
He also said in his SONA that the percentage of the poor people became lower but as I see the Filipino’s here became poorer.
We all know that SONA is an annual address by the President . The SONA, which is often broadcast, serves as a means to inform the nation about its present economic, political, and social condition, and is a vehicle for the President to summaries the accomplishments and plans of his/her programmed for government both for a particular year and until the end of their term of office.
For me the SONA that have done is not that clear and understandable. Most of the promises that the president told is not yet accomplished.
