State of the Nation Address (Reaction)
President
Benigno Aquino III successfully delivered his fifth State of the
Nation Address (SONA). Lawmakers and guests at Batasan Pambansa gave him at
least 85 rounds of applause for his 1.5hrs speech.
The
SONA 2014 highlights the achievements of
the government on education, social services, economy, improvement, infrastructure,
calamity efforts, jobs, rehabilitation after typhoons and earthquake,
modernization of AFP, security, ARMM Bangsamoro and livelihood.
Under the controversial DAP; PNoy said that around P1.6 billion funds were given to Training-for-Work Scholarship Program of TESDA. A total of 223,615 beneficiaries have graduated with an equivalent of 146,731 graduates currently working.

Meanwhile,
Aquino did not mention the issue on the Priority Development Assistance Fund
(PDAF) with many of the politicians is involved.
He
also said in his SONA that the percentage of the poor people became lower but
as I see the Filipino’s here became poorer.
We all know that SONA
is an annual address by the President .
The SONA, which is often
broadcast, serves as a means to inform the nation about its present economic,
political, and social condition, and is a vehicle for the President to
summaries the accomplishments and plans of his/her programmed for government
both for a particular year and until the end of their term of office.
For me the SONA that have done is not that clear and
understandable. Most of the promises that the president told is not yet
accomplished.
